Precautions For Installation and Use of Submersible Pumps.

Submersible pump is a common type of pump, mainly used for water intake from wells, mine drainage, etc. It has a wide range of uses. There are many users of deep well submersible pumps. Here are some precautions for the installation and use of submersible pumps.

1. Avoid long-term overload work

In order to avoid the long-term overload work of the submersible electric pump, do not use the low-lift pump for high-lift work, do not pump water with large sand content (heavy mud), and observe whether the current value is within the specified range at any time. If it is found that the current is too large, it should be stopped for inspection. In addition, the submersible pump uses water as the cooling source, so the dehydration time of the submersible pump should not be too long.

2. Avoid the motor rotating in the opposite direction

There are many types of submersible pumps that can produce water in both forward and reverse rotations, but the water output is small and the current is large during reverse rotation, and the motor windings will be damaged if the reverse rotation time is too long. Therefore, the submersible pump should be connected to the power supply before entering the water to check whether the rotation direction is correct. If the impeller of the three-phase submersible pump is reversed, it should be stopped immediately, and the wiring of any two phases in the three-phase core wire in the cable can be exchanged.

3. Avoid not installing leakage protectors

The submersible pump works in the water, and it is easy to leak electricity and cause power loss or even electric shock. If a leakage protector is installed, as long as the leakage value of the submersible pump exceeds the operating current value of the leakage protector (generally no more than 30mA), the leakage protector will cut off the power supply of the submersible pump.

4. Avoid frequent switching

The submersible pump should not be started too frequently, because backflow will occur when the submersible pump is stopped. If it is turned on immediately, the motor load will be started, resulting in excessive starting current. Therefore, after the shutdown, it is necessary to wait for the water in the pipe to return to the end before it can be restarted, which generally takes about 5 minutes.

5.Do not put it in water for a long time after it is disabled

If the submersible pump is not used continuously after going down the well, it will corrode for a long time, resulting in failure to start. Therefore, the deactivated submersible pump should not be left in the water and should be turned on once a week and run for 5~10 minutes. When not in use for a long time, it is best not to soak it in water for a long time. It should be put in clean water and powered on for a few minutes to clean the mud inside and outside the pump, then lift the water surface to dry it, and conduct a major inspection, disassemble all parts for maintenance, scrubbing, and rust removal. Descale, replace the wearing parts, reassemble it, paint it to prevent rust, and put it in a dry, non-corrosive gas warehouse.

6. Submersible pumps are contraindicated in the use of sludge

If the submersible pump sinks into the mud during use, it will cause poor heat dissipation and burn out the motor windings. Therefore, submersible pumps must not be used in silt environments. In order to prevent the submersible pump from sinking into the sludge, the sludge in its working environment should be removed before the submersible pump is launched, and a fence guard should be used to cover the submersible pump when conditions permit, so as to prevent waste from blocking the water inlet fence and causing the motor to heat up. , poor water.
