Booster pump does not produce water

1. When the pump is found to be leaking, stop the machine immediately to check for internal leakage. If the connection with the motor is leaking, replace the TM1068 mechanical seal.


a. Check whether the power supply is connected.

b. Whether the power supply voltage used is consistent with the working voltage of the pump.

c. If a and b above are normal; please remove the pump, open the pump cover, remove foreign objects in the pump, and then install the pump cover, tighten and adjust it to normal.


2. When the pump cannot pump water


  • When the pump is installed on the tap water pipeline, if the tap water level is below the upper plane of the pump impeller (horizontally installed) or the center line (vertically installed), the power supply should be turned off at this time. When the tap water level rises above the impeller plane or center line, turn on the power supply to avoid damage to the machine parts (automatic type does not need to turn off the power).


  • When the pump is used to pump well water, please check: 


a. Is there any air leakage in the water inlet pipe?

b. There is not enough water in the pump chamber, it should be filled with water. 

c. Is the suction stroke too high? Adjust it appropriately. 

d. Check whether the inlet and outlet pipe diameters are too small or blocked. 

Treatment method: The booster pump may not discharge water because the inlet and outlet valves are not open or the inlet and outlet pipes and impellers are blocked; it is necessary to check and clean the blockage. 


3. The booster pump motor is heated. 

Treatment method: The booster pump motor is heated because the ambient temperature is too high, the motor has poor heat dissipation, and water enters the motor; check the mechanical part and adjust it in time. The regulator positive outlet valve makes the pump work near the rated flow and head. 


4. The water has stopped, but the pump is running. 

Reason: The water pipe is leaking. The water flow switch is controlled by the flow of water. As long as there is a certain degree of leakage, the pump will start to work. Treatment method: Check the water pipe and stop the leakage. 


5. The pump stops after running for a while, and then runs again after a few seconds, and so on.


Solution: Just ask the maintenance worker to check the water pipe and stop the water leakage.


6. If there is air in the water pipe, it is very likely to cause backflow, and the backflow will keep the pump running.


Solution: In this case, just install a check valve, which can be bought at all hardware stores.


7. Regardless of whether there is water or not, as long as the small switch of the pump is turned to automatic, the pump will start.

it is because there is a problem with the water flow switch, just replace it.
