How To Choose A Water Pump For Your Home ?

The selection of the water pump is appropriate according to the location. Generally, there are two factors to choose from.

• The flow rate of the water pump

• The lift of the water pump

• The local conditions

One is the flow rate of the water pump,  the other is the lift of the water pump. It should be selected according to the needs, such as the self-priming water pump used by family, the flow rate should be selected as small as possible; such as the submersible pump used by the user for irrigation, the larger flow rate can be selected appropriately. 

1. Choose water pumps according to local conditions. There are three types of commonly used agricultural water pumps, namely centrifugal pumps, axial flow pumps and mixed flow pumps. Centrifugal pumps have a high head, but the water output is not large, are suitable for mountainous areas and well irrigation areas; axial flow pumps have a large water output, but the head is not too high,  are suitable for use in plain areas; the water output and head of mixed flow pumps are between centrifugal pumps and axial flow pump, suitable for use in plains and hilly areas. Users should choose according to the local conditions, water source and water lifting height. 

2. Choose water pumps that exceed the standard properly. After determining the type of water pump, its economic performance should be considered, and special attention should be paid to the head and flow of the water pump and the selection of supporting power. It must be noted that there is a difference between the head (total head) marked on the water pump label and the water outlet head (actual head) during use. The actual head is generally 10%-20% lower than the total head.

Household clean water pumps first look at the height.

There is four floors high, about 16 meters house. You can choose a submersible pump with a lift of about 24 to 30 to 50 meters. If the lift is low and you can't get on the water, try to choose a pump with a higher lift. 3 ~ 8m3 m/h, of course, the larger the number of cubic meters, the more water per hour. There are many models of power such as 220v750w, 220v1.5Kw, 220v1.8Kw, etc. Firstly, the low-power one is enough for home use, and it is also energy-saving. The water outlet is 1 to 1.5 inches. If the water demand is not large, just choose 1 inch. Finally, I would like to add that when buying a water pump, look at the nameplate. There are: voltage, current, power, head, and water output. Here, the current can be ignored. Other data are related to each other. The head is the main one.
