Materials used in stainless steel deep well pumps, how to polish the surface of stainless steel

There are three common polishing methods for stainless steel as follows :

• Mechanical polishing.

• Chemical polishing.

• Electrochemical polishing.
  

1. Mechanical polishing. This method is actually to polish the surface of stainless steel by cutting. Generally, some sandpaper or wool wheels are used for polishing. Its advantages are good leveling and high brightness of the processed parts; its disadvantages are high labor intensity, serious pollution, and complex parts cannot be processed, so it is suitable for processing simple, medium and small products.

2. Chemical polishing. This method is to use some chemical media to dissolve the raised part of the stainless steel surface, and use this method to make the entire stainless steel plane particularly smooth. Its advantages are less investment in processing equipment, high speed, high efficiency, and good corrosion resistance; its disadvantages are poor brightness, gas overflow, ventilation equipment is required, and heating is difficult. It is suitable for processing small batches of complex parts and products that do not require high brightness of small parts.

3. Electrochemical polishing. Its advantages are long mirror gloss retention time, less pollution, low cost, and good corrosion resistance; its disadvantages are large one-time investment in processing equipment, complex parts need to be installed with auxiliary electrodes, and cooling facilities are required for mass production. Suitable for mass production, mainly used in high-end products and export products.
